October 12th, 2023 marked another important milestone for Lyto Pictures with the theatrical release of Pamali: Dusun Pocong. The film is adapted from the second chapter of the popular game Pamali: The Tied Corpse by StoryTales Studio.

Rooted deeply in Indonesian folklore and cultural taboos, the film tells the story of three medical workers Mila (Yasamin Jasem), Gendis (Dea Panendra), and Puput (Arla Ailani) along with two gravediggers, Cecep (Fajar Nugra) and Deden (Bukie B. Mansyur), who are assigned to a remote village struck by a deadly outbreak. What begins as a humanitarian mission soon turns into a terrifying nightmare.

Unfamiliar with the village’s strict traditions, they unknowingly disregard a local custom that must be performed to keep the ancestors at peace. Their mistake awakens a sinister presence, as the cursed pocong begins to terrorize them one by one. As fear intensifies and survival becomes uncertain, the group must confront both the supernatural threat and the consequences of ignoring ancestral warnings.

Blending cultural authenticity with psychological horror, Pamali: Dusun Pocong delivers a chilling cinematic experience that highlights how deeply rooted myths and taboos can shape one’s fate. Supported by atmospheric visuals and suspenseful storytelling, the film successfully captured the attention of horror lovers across Indonesia.
